Leading economists, policymakers, and industry experts convened for the Policy Dialogue on Intergenerational Equity, where they examined how economic policy can better balance outcomes across generations.
Hosted jointly by the UNSW Centre for Population Ageing Research (CEPAR) and the Centre for Applied Macroeconomic Analysis (CAMA), the event brought together representatives from academia, government, and industry to discuss some of Australia's most pressing long-term policy challenges.
The dialogue explored a range of critical issues, including fiscal sustainability, health, housing, and wealth inequality, with discussions focusing on policy approaches that promote fairness and prosperity across current and future generations.
The event was held on Monday 20 July 2026 at the Molonglo Theatre (Level 2), Crawford School of Public Policy, The Australian National University.
The Policy Dialogue provided a valuable forum for evidence-based discussion and collaboration among researchers, policymakers, and practitioners working to address the economic and social implications of demographic change.
