Roundtable event with Ivan Pomaleu

The Papua New Guinea Chief Secretary, Ivan Pomaleu, is the head of the PNG Department of Prime Minister and National Executive Council (Cabinet), and in that role is effectively head of the PNG public service. He was in Canberra for annual bilateral consultations. As in previous years, he wished to meet senior PNG officials and other nationals undertaking postgraduate studies at the ANU, mainly Masters and PhD students. At his request, three PhD students made brief presentations about their research projects, and spoke informally with the Chief Secretary.
