ADEW2026 to bring development economics researchers and policymakers to the ANU next week

Join us next week for ADEW2026, the Australasian Development Economics Workshop, hosted by the Crawford School of Public Policy and the Research School of Economics at the Australian National University on 4–5 June 2026.

ADEW2026 is an annual conference that brings together researchers, policymakers, and development practitioners working across development economics, public policy, and international development. This year’s conference will feature keynote presentations, plenary panels, and parallel research sessions exploring topics including social protection, migration, labour markets, governance, inequality, climate and development, economic development in the Pacific, and evidence-informed policymaking.

The conference provides an opportunity to engage with new research, hear from leading experts in the field, and connect with colleagues from universities, government, international organisations, and development agencies across Australia and the wider region.
