Join us at ADEW2026, the Australasian Development Economics Workshop, bringing together researchers, policymakers, and practitioners from across Australia and around the world.

Hosted by the Crawford School of Public Policy and the Research School of Economics at Australian National University, ADEW2026 (Australasian Development Economics Workshop) will take place on 4–5 June 2026 in Canberra. The conference will bring together leading researchers, policymakers, and development practitioners from across Australia, the Asia–Pacific, and beyond for two days of discussion on contemporary issues in development economics and policy.

The conference will feature keynote presentations, plenary panels, and parallel research sessions covering topics including social protection, migration, inequality, governance, labour markets, climate and development, economic development in the Pacific, and evidence-informed policymaking. ADEW2026 also provides an opportunity for researchers, students, and practitioners to connect, share new research, and strengthen collaboration across the development economics community.

Registration for ADEW2026 is now open, and the full conference program, including keynote speakers, plenary panels, and parallel sessions, is available on the conference landing page.
