A workshop to explore new perspectives on innovation and Australia’s future

We live in a world awash with innovation.  Advances in artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and clean energy – along with entrepreneurship and creativity in new places – are remaking the world as we know it.  Amidst all this change, it is essential to move beyond narrow, traditional conceptions of innovation and confront pressing questions about its meaning, direction, and consequences.  What does responsible innovation look like in such a rapidly changing world?  How do different societies pursue innovation in ways shaped by their own priorities and contexts?  And what challenges and opportunities does Australia face in seeking to make innovation work for its future? Bringing together experts from academia and government, this four-panel workshop will engage with these questions to generate fresh insights into the evolving role of innovation in our world.
