Thesis Proposal Review
This presentation will present preliminary work on how age of arrival affects the intergenerational mobility of immigrant children. Further, it explores whether intergenerational income mobility for this group is homogeneous across gender, regions of origin and visa types. Noting that nearly one-third of Australians report being born overseas (ABS, 2021) we explore whether certain groups of migrants face entrenched disadvantage.
