Studying with us - fees and charges

Fees are listed in the Course Specifications and vary from course to course. Please consult course descriptions for details of the tuition fees. All executive course participants who complete their course requirements will receive a formal Certificate of Attendance from the ANU at the end of the course.

What the course fees cover

The course fees listed cover only tuition fees, course resource materials such as stationery, binders, lecture notes and readings, orientation kits, tea and coffee during course hours, use of computer resources and facilities, any course activity-related transport and social functions.
Please note that international and domestic airfares and travel to and from airports is NOT included and are additional to course fees.

Funding sources

International students participating in short courses may receive funding from a variety of agencies. Many are funded by the Australian government through the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID). Short course participants may also be funded by international agencies such as the Commonwealth Secretariat, World Bank, the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the ANU-based Centre for Democratic Institutions (CDI), World Health Organization (WHO), Forum Secretariat, British Council, Winrock International, Asia Foundation, Ford Foundation, Rotary International, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Canada Fund, USAid and the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), World Bank or International Monetary Fund (IMF). It is the responsibility of participants to seek sponsorship from aid agencies and determine their eligibility for sponsorship. Government bodies in the participants' home countries may also provide funding.

Suggested daily allowances

A$60.00 per day suggested allowance will cover meals, clothing, incidentals, bus fares.

Health insurance cover

Coverage for international visitors residing for 4 weeks is presently A$180.00 to 200.00.
N.B. Health insurance is compulsory for all foreign national participants and those without Australian permanent residency visas from the time of their arrival in Australia and for the full duration of the course.
