With a conference program tailored to the region, don’t miss this chance to hear commodity forecasts, discuss industry trends, access information, make new contacts in the community and gain an understanding of global issues affecting the region at the ABARES Bega Regional Outlook conference on Wednesday 29 August 2012.

This one-day conference will showcase a mix of local and ABARES speakers with sessions on ‘Global economy ’ local impacts,’ ‘Toward a more productive agriculture,’ ‘Fisheries in a changing environment’ and a closing panel discussion on ‘Furthering regional Australia’s future.’

During the final panel discussion, panellists and delegates will explore topics such as sea-change and demographic shifts, regional development, peri-urban expansion, urban-rural connections, future producers, labour and skills, future industries, new technologies and social media.
