This presentation will discuss issues facing the global economy 10 years after the 2008 financial crisis, based on the recently launched edition of the IMF’s flagship publication, World Economic Outlook, October 2018.

Malhar Nabar is Deputy Division Chief of the World Economic Studies Division in the IMF’s Research Department. Previously, he worked in the IMF’s Asia and Pacific Department, where he covered China and Japan, and was mission chief for Hong Kong SAR. Mr Nabar’s research interests are in financial development, investment, and productivity growth. He holds a PhD from Brown University.
