A summary of the two day workshop in Seoul, South Korea on the 7-8 September 2018 is available here.

A two day by-invite only workshop on new research and policy approaches to common challenges. Funded by the Australia-Korea Foundation with partners: Australian National University, Tax and Transfer Policy Institute and Korea Institute; University of Seoul, Department of Tax and Public Finance; Korea Institute of Public Finance.

The ANU Tax and Transfer Policy Institute, and the University of Seoul Department of Tax and Public Finance, are partnering in this project to build a collaborative network of academic experts, government and civil society groups for reciprocal study of tax and welfare policy in Australia and Korea. This is the second of two workshops and public seminars, the first was held in 2017 (Canberra). The workshops both present, discuss and engage on new approaches to tax and welfare policy to address shared public finance challenges in Australia and the Republic of Korea.

The program is available here.

This event is supported by the Australia-Korea Foundation.
