We are pleased to invite you to the Australian premier screening of ‘The Witness’ and have a discussino with director Kate Horne.

The Witness tells the story of Jesús Abad Colorado, a renowned Colombian photojournalist. Abad Colorado has documented the country’s civil war for the last 25 years in more than 500 harrowing images where the victims take centre stage.

In the film, he goes in search of the subjects of his most iconic photographs to explore what it means to forgive the horrors of the past and why the fragile peace process in Colombia needs to be protected, so these painful stories are not repeated ever again.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with the film’s director, Kate Horne. In her words “The message of his images is universal, a message about the need to forgive as an individual and as society. It is about the history of Colombia, but it could be about the conflict of any other country in the world, because the intense emotional journey of his work touches every audience.”
