Please join us for a virtual launch of the Individual Deprivation Measure (IDM) Multidimensional Poverty Reports for two districts in Indonesia.
The two reports, covering Jeneponto Regency and Pangkajene and Islands Regency, will be formally launched by Dr Maliki, Director for Poverty Alleviation and Development of Social Welfare, National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), Indonesia. The launch will be facilitated by Ibu Nina Sardjunani, Head of the National SDGs Secretariat, National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), Indonesia. Allaster Cox, Charge d’Affaires at the Australian Embassy in Jakarta will also speak.

The IDM findings from the Pangkajene and Jeneponto studies reveal that the intersections of gender, age, location, and disability compound the experience of poverty. Through assessment across all aspects of poverty, we see how deprivation in each impacts on individuals, and how multiple deprivations combine to create multidimensional poverty.

Please join us for the launch to hear more about the study, the findings, and the future of this research which will be critical to ending poverty in all its forms, everywhere.

Please register here to join the launch or contact immp.crawford@anu.edu.au for more information.
