During this two-year span of the pandemic, digital adoption has been accelerating, including in the banking sector. As financial technologies are more developed and consumers become more confident to conduct transactions, electronic transactions grow exponentially. Digitalisation also provides financial services to underserved groups. This includes channelling social assistance and national economic recovery programs.
