The global multidimensional poverty measure covers 111 countries, 6.1 billion people in 2022. This seminar will present the global MPI 2022 findings. It will also probe further the measurement of child poverty, given that one half of the 1.2 billion multidimensionally poor people are children. Finally, it will explore new methods for illuminating gendered and intra household disparities across individual children, using the micro data underneath the global MPI. The findings will be presented in an intuitive and non-technical manner.
