Abstract
Alternative development policies are discussed in the context of Asian agriculture and fisheries. The first presentation is entitled ‘Utilising Secondary Crops (CGPRT Crops) for Poverty Alleviation under Globalisation: Alternative Development in Asian Agriculture’. The second is entitled ‘Fisheries Resource Management under Globalisation: For the Case of Japanese Tuna Imports Market’.
Bios
Hitoshi Yonekura is a professor with Tohoku University and currently an executive advisor to the Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Science (JIRCAS). His research interests include agricultural/development economics and area studies on Indonesia.
Shigekazu Kawashima is an assistant professor with Tohoku University. His research includes resource management and applied econometrics.
