Crawford School’s Professor Miranda Stewart talked about public spending and revenue raising as one of the panellists on this week’s Q&A show on ABC TV.

Professor Stewart – the Director of the Tax and Transfer Policy Institute at Crawford School – was part of the post-budget panel looking at the issues from a busy week in politics.

She was joined on the panel by the Minister for Education Simon Birmingham, Shadow Treasurer Chris Bowen, Queensland Greens Senator Larissa Waters, and the CEO of the Australian Industry Group Innes Wilcox.

Q&A is a weekly news and public events panel discussion show on ABC TV. It is filmed before a live studio audience, and this episode was broadcast from the Arts Centre on the Gold Coast, Queensland.

Miranda Stewart researches tax law and policy, including taxation of business entities in the context of globalisation, not-for-profits, tax and development, budget laws and institutions, and legitimacy for tax reform processes and institutions nationally and internationally. She is Editor of the Austaxpolicy blog and tweets as @AusTaxProf.
