This study examines the impacts of both choices of product scope and product concentration on the export performance of Indonesian manufacturing firms for the period 2008-2012. The main findings are that broader product scope and more concentrated product portfolio generate higher export. In the experiment of heterogeneous impacts, it is also found that the return of scope expansion is the highest for firms which mainly active in GPS (Global Production Sharing) sector, followed by foreign-invested firms and resource-based firms, sequentially. The heterogeneities in the return of product concentration also follow the same order.
