Matthew Dornan is a Research Fellow at and Deputy Director of the Development Policy Centre in the Crawford School of Public Policy. His research focuses on economic development in Papua New Guinea and the Pacific islands, and includes work on infrastructure access, development and regulation; aid from ‘traditional’ and ‘emerging’ donors; renewable energy; regional integration; climate change adaptation financing; and labour mobility. Matthew received his PhD from the Crawford School and has a background in public policy and economics. He previously worked across the Pacific islands as part of the Australian aid program, and has consulted for various development partners in the region.
