Research Interest

Chiahsin’s research interests lie in the intersection of political economy and corporate behavior. He focuses on the relationship between political connections and corporate performance, particularly in authoritarian regimes. His work examines:

  • how political regimes use connections as leverage to influence entrepreneurs,
  • how entrepreneurs, in turn, shape legislation and redistributive policies, and
  • the broader implications of these interactions for firm outcomes and market efficiency.
