
A/Prof Hoa Nguyen
Hoa Nguyen is an Associate Professor in the Arndt-Corden Department of Economics, and the Higher Degree Research Director of the Crawford School of Public Policy. Her research focuses on applied economics, particularly economic policies related to health, food security, biological security, and natural resource management, as well as broader issues of climate change, inequality, and poverty. She is especially interested in using complex data analysis and integrating machine learning and artificial intelligence with economics to address real-world policy challenges.
Driven by policy-relevant questions, her work has had significant policy impact and has been published in leading international journals, including Political Analysis, Journal of Agricultural Economics, Land Economics, Ecological Economics, Economic Modelling, and World Development.
