I am a policy economist with over 20 years of experience in: macro-fiscal forecasting and modelling; public finance and fiscal policy; economic growth and development; structural and supply-side policies including the labour market and population; and international economics.
I am a technical expert with the IMF on macroeconomic and fiscal policy issues. I am undertaking a PhD at the Australian National University. I have trained public service officials on various economic matters, and taught undergraduate economics. I have published academic style but policy focussed articles on economic growth and international macroeconomics. I have been the lead author or a key contributor to several IMF, Australian Government, and G20 publications. I have provided trusted advice to ministers and senior officials, and represented Australia at bilateral and multilateral meetings. I have strong experience in building organisational capability and resilience, and resolving difficult personnel issues.
