Dr. Benjamin J. Ascione completed his PhD in the Crawford School’s Policy and Governance Program in 2020. He is a research associate at the ANU’s Australia-Japan Research Centre, a member of the East Asia Forum Editorial Group, and a research associate at the Japan Center for International Exchange in Tokyo.
