Gabrielle is a PhD Candidate in the Crawford School of Public Policy. Through her research she is exploring the value of lived experience knowledge for welfare policy making in Australia.

Prior to commencing her PhD in 2023, Gabrielle spent 15 years in the Australian Public Service, where she worked across a variety of policy fields in roles ranging from direct service delivery through to strategic policy advice. She is passionate about the practice of policy making – how governments can improve the design and delivery of policies so that they truly respond to the voices and needs of the public they serve.
