Employment history

I worked for almost five years in a national level Non-Government Organisation in Nepal. I was associated with projects having the theme of rural livelihoods improvements and poverty alleviation working in sectors like Leasehold Forestry, Food security, education and health in rural parts of the country. During this work I got an opportunity to understand the rural context of the country more closely and got special interest in food security, agriculture, climate change adaptation and gender related matters in the rural parts of Nepal. Before I come to ANU, I was working in UNICEF Nepal as a Monitoring and Evaluation Consultant mainly supporting to undertake data collection and analysis of Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) in the Mid and Far Western region of Nepal. This is a global survey supported by UNICEF that takes place every five years in more than 50 countries around the globe.
