Zahid Mumtaz is a PhD candidate at the Crawford School Of Public Policy. He is a career civil servant from Pakistan and has held important portfolios such as Additional Secretary of provincial Energy Department, Additional District Collector of a District, Deputy Secretary of provincial Education Department and Personal Staff officer to the Deputy prime minister of country. Apart from diverse professional experience he holds a master’s degree in political science from Pakistan and a master degree in public policy from ANU. He is the recipient of prestigious Awarded Australia Awards scholarship for master’s degree, ANU University Research Scholarship and ANU HDR Fee Merit Scholarship for PhD.His current research analyses the the consequences of informal social protection on a society.
