Julia Ahrens is a communications professional with a background in international relations, political science, and journalism. In her role as Marketing & Communications Coordinator in the Communications & Engagement team at Crawford School, she supports the Manager in looking after Crawford School’s events, internal and external communications, social media, website and marketing.
She is also a presenter and producer for the Policy Forum podcast series, and a producer on the Democracy Sausage podcast. She is also a special features editor for Policy Forum.net.
She holds a BA in English Philology and Political Science from the University of Kiel in Germany and an MA in East Asian Studies from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. She’s also an Associate Researcher with the European Institute for Asian Studies - a Brussels-based think tank - where she has researched the EU-Korea FTA, the G20 and global governance, and how China and the EU can learn from each other when it comes to improving access to education for people with disabilities.
