Julia Ahrens is a communications professional with a background in international relations, political science, and journalism. In her role as Communications & Engagement Officer in the Communications & Engagement team at Crawford School, she looks after the school’s internal and external communications, social media, website and marketing.
She holds a BA in English Philology and Political Science from the University of Kiel in Germany and an MA in East Asian Studies from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. She’s was also an Associate Researcher with the European Institute for Asian Studies - a Brussels-based think tank - where she has researched the EU-Korea FTA, the G20 and global governance, and what China and the EU can learn from each other when it comes to improving access to education for people with disabilities.
