Tasnia has completed Master of Public Policy from Crawford School of Public Policy. She studied Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration. Previously she worked at diplomatic missions (Embassy of Japan and Embassy of China), international organisations (World Bank, UNICEF, Japan International Cooperation Agency -JICA) at various capacities.

Tasnia has extensive experience in administration. She is particularly interested in communicating with people, liaising with internal and external stakeholders. She has worked at the Sri Lanka High Commission in Canberra as an intern of Prestigious Australian National Internships Program (ANIP). Her research was to explore trade potentials of Sri Lankan coconut industry in Australia.

Tasnia also worked at the office of Andrew Leigh, MP, where she has carried out significant research works.
