Sam is a Research Fellow at the East Asian Bureau of Economic Research and PhD candidate in the Arndt–Corden Department of Economics. His research focuses on international trade, investment and geopolitical risk, including the multilateral trading system, supply chain resilience and economic security in the Asia Pacific. He co-chairs the Canberra Security Economics Network and was previously an adviser on trade and investment policy at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.
