Research Interest
Tanja's research focuses on how educational experiences can foster a sense of agency among young people to take meaningful climate action. She conducts qualitative and mixed-methods research to understand systemic, relational and contextual factors affecting the practice and experience of climate education in Australia, from teachers’ and students’ perspectives. A key area of interest is exploring the potential for different kinds of climate action to support emotional wellbeing in young people, who face a life course marked by climate-induced uncertainty.
