Dr Tunye Qiu

Tunye Qiu is a PhD in Economics at the Crawford School of Public Policy, ANU College of Asia and the Pacific. He received his PhD in 2025. His research interests lie in labor economics, urban economics, demographic economics, and development economics. Additionally, he has explored topics related to international trade, labor markets in the South Pacific, and educational outcomes in Australia. He currently serves as the Program Manager of the China Economy Program at ANU and as an Assistant Editor for the Journal of Chinese Economic and Foreign Trade Studies. In 2023–2024, he worked as an Associate Lecturer at the Research School of Economics, ANU, where he taught courses in microeconomics and macroeconomics. He has extensive teaching experience, having lectured and tutored across a wide range of economics courses at ANU, covering topics such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, game theory, and policy impact evaluation.
