CAMA is a global network of active researchers in macroeconomics. Research Associates are members of a research program. Each program (currently 13 programs in total) is headed by Program Directors who are responsible for encouraging active research participation by Research Associates, Doctoral Student Associates and Scholar Associates.

A candidate for a Research Associate position should submit a CV, a summary of their research proposed for the next two years and reference letters from two CAMA Research Associates; or alternatively, the candidate should submit a CV, a summary of their research proposed for the next two years and a copy of one publication. Reference letters from current Research Associates would also help with the application. This will be assessed by the Program Directors and CAMA Management Committee.

As a member of the CAMA Network, they are able to publish papers in the CAMA Working Paper Series, participate in CAMA events and receive any latest macroeconomic research advance. Every year, many CAMA working papers are accepted by top ranked economic journals.

Affiliation with CAMA is reviewed every three years, and active members may be invited to continue for a further period of association. The criteria for renewal are based on a member’s active engagement in CAMA activities in the past three years, whether by attendance at CAMA events, contributions to the CAMA Working Paper Series, or by general professional activity which promotes the program/network with which they are affiliated.
