Michael Mazengarb

B.Sc (CCSP & Phys), ANU, JD (Dist.), UTS, GradDip LPP, UNSW

Michael Mazengarb is a research officer with the Australian National University’s Centre for Climate and Energy Policy. With expertise in climate and clean energy policy, Michael has served across roles in corporate consulting, state and federal governments, law, journalism, and civil society.

Michael has researched and advised on carbon and renewable energy markets, climate risk assessment and disclosure, directors' duties and climate litigation risk, climate transition planning, decarbonisation strategies, and policy instruments.

 Michael holds a Bachelor of Science from the Australian National University, with majors in physics, and climate change science and policy. Michael also holds a Juris Doctor with Distinction from the University of Technology Sydney, and is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia.
