On 10 July 2013, the China Economy Program within Crawford School of Public Policy, in collaboration with the Rio Tinto-ANU China Partnership, will launch the China Update Book - China: A New Model for Growth and Development edited by Ross Garnaut, Cai Fang and Ligang Song. The book is published by ANU E Press with the Chinese Social Sciences Academic Press publishing the Chinese language version.

This year’s book features contributions from the world’s leading academics, policymakers and government representatives who discuss the latest research on the Chinese economy. Over the years, the China Update Book has become Australia’s premier publication for in-depth discussion and analysis of the Chinese economy. The 2013 book will be launched by His Excellency Ambassador Chen Yuming, Chinese Ambassador to Australia and will feature an addresses by Professor Ross Garnaut of The Australian National University and the University of Melbourne, as well as David Peever, Managing Director, Rio Tinto Iron Ore. This year’s keynote speaker is Professor Dwight Perkins, Harvard University.

Light refreshments will be provided.
