What will science and technology be like in 30 years? How might policy-making be different? When you bring the two together, will the interface between science and policy itself be different? In this forward-looking session, eminent water scientists and policy-makers will share their creative thinking about how science and technology may re-connect with policy. Considering social, cultural, environmental and economic values of water through the lens of the science-policy interface, speakers will offer their ideas on the changes that would need to happen soon, to realise the best possible outcomes for the future. Panellists include Professor Anthony Jakeman, Associate Professor Katherine Daniell, Dr Deborah Peterson, and Professor Paul Tregoning.
