The Australian National University, in association with the ACT Branch of the Order of Australia Association, is pleased to present the 2024 Order of Australia Lecture.
Professor Kuntala Lahiri-Dutt AO will deliver this year’s keynote: A Possible World: Transforming Gender Relations for Sustainability.
Today’s environmental challenges require us to urgently rethink how we envision the future. This lecture will help us do that just. Professor Kuntala Lahiri-Dutt argues that to address the challenges of sustainability, we must prioritise gendered livelihoods and care, and create a world that is more sustainable and gender equitable. She offers a forward-thinking yet realistic plan, placing gender equality, social justice, and sustainability at the heart of efforts to shape a better future for us all.
Don’t miss this opportunity to gain new perspectives and contribute to the conversation. Listen and engage with the speaker as she advocates for a better world.
There will also be an opportunity for audience questions, facilitated by Mr Andrew Phelan, who will deliver the vote of thanks.
Before the event, there will be a reception in the RSSS foyer from 5.30-6pm.
