Science meets Policymakers will bring together researchers from a range of disciplines and policymakers from various government departments to take a closer look at the intersection between the evidence base and policy development.

Speakers from the highest levels in the public service, government, public and private sector research, will take a warts-and-all look at how well the current science/policy nexus works and identify ways to improve. Case studies will be examined with the key players both on stage and in the audience.

This event will inform and enable policymakers and scientists, and ultimately lead to better public policy. Participants in the event will include policymakers, parliamentarians, academics, practicing scientists, representatives from scientific societies and industries employing scientists.
