This course is a generalist background briefing on carbon pricing and is relevant for executives and staff from a wide range of public service departments. Why put a price on carbon? How would a carbon tax work? How would a cap and trade system work? Exploring alternative options. What happens in other countries? Winners and losers.

The Convenor is Dr. Frank Jotzo, Director of the Centre for Climate Economics and Policy at the ANU Crawford School who served as an advisor to Professor Ross Garnaut’s Climate Change Review and is currently assisting with an update of that Review

This course is co-managed by the Australian National Institute of Public Policy (ANIPP) of the ANU. Attendance to this course attracts a registration fee of $1000.00 per participant.
