Helen Clark to deliver Crawford Oration
The Australian National University (ANU) 2017 Crawford Australian Leadership Forum will get underway on Sunday with a speech from Helen Clark - former Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (2009-2017) and former New Zealand Prime Minister. Ms Clark will deliver the Crawford Oration: The leadership we need - sustainable development challenges.
The theme of the 2017 Crawford Australian Leadership Forum is “Global Realities, Domestic Choices: Responding to a Digitalising, Deglobalising, Post-truth world”. The Opening Day of the forum will also include a Gala dinner featuring a discussion panel titled “The leadership we need - geopolitical challenges”. Panel members are:
- Pascal Lamy - President Emeritus, Jacques Delors Institute; Director-General, World Trade Organization (2005-2013)
- Professor James Steinberg - Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Syracuse University; Deputy Secretary of State (2009-2011); National Security Advisor (1996-2000), United States
- Professor Gareth Evans AC QC - Chancellor, The Australian National University; Chair, Crawford Australian Leadership Forum
