Crawford School launches new Graduate Certificate of Environmental Management (online)

20 May 2020

For the second semester of 2020, Crawford School is adding a new degree to its program catalogue: the Graduate Certificate of Environmental Management (online). Students will be able to take all courses online.

This new degree will provide students with an understanding of current issues and approaches to environmental management; of current regulatory and policy frameworks, and the ability to contribute to the governance of environmental sustainability and disasters.

“We are really delighted to launch this new Graduate Certificate of Environmental Management (online),” program convenor Associate Professor Sango Mahanty says.

“Students will choose four courses from our online offerings, that cover topics like disaster management, food security, ecotourism, environmental policy and more.”

New students will have the opportunity to learn from some of the leading academics in their fields, and upon graduation will join the ranks of Australia’s most employable graduates.

This program is exclusively open to domestic students who are not currently students at ANU, with fees subsidised during semester two of 2020.

“Under the government’s COVID higher education relief package, the course fees for this Graduate Certificate will be heavily subsidised during semester two 2020 and will be accessed using a Commonwealth Supported Place,” Professor Mahanty says.

“Whilst this program is only available for students based in Australia, they could be based anywhere in the country. You will be able to take your courses whilst socially isolating at home, because all of them will be available online.”
