Jane Golley is an Associate Professor and economist, holding concurrent positions at the Crawford School and the Australian Centre on China in the World (CIW), as well as at the Australian National University (ANU). Her research has covered a wide range of Chinese transition and development issues, including industrial agglomeration and regional policy; demographic change and economic growth; household consumption and carbon dioxide emissions, and rural-urban inequalities in education. She has published a book on The Dynamics of Chinese Regional Development: Market Nature, State Nurture, and articles in journals including China Economic Review, Energy Economics, The China Journal, The World Economy and Asian Population Studies.
