With over a decade of experience in public policy research and grassroots environmental activism, Angela is currently undertaking a PhD at The ANU exploring conversational leadership in the transition to renewable energy. Her interest in the topic began in 2018 when facilitating Communities Leading Change, a project to empower community leadership for a just transition in the Latrobe Valley, VIC, Australia.
Her PhD explores how to catalyse more constructive public conversation about the energy transition, in particular through the framing of ‘people-centred clean energy transitions’. Her work is relevant to policy-makers and practitioners and draws from a diverse literature, including psychology and conflict resolution.
