Topic title

Understanding Integrity Networks: Budget Allocation, Project Implementation, and Oversight in Indonesia

Topic description

This study is crucial due to the need to strengthen integrity networks in many developing countries, where weak governance undermines socio-economic development and public service delivery. By investigating the mechanisms and structures of integrity networks at the local level, the research aims to offer a comprehensive understanding of how these networks promote transparency in budgetary priorities and resource distribution. This, in turn, can enhance efficiency and equity in delivering essential public services in the health, infrastructure, and education sectors—areas vital for Indonesia’s development. In Indonesia, where decentralisation has granted significant autonomy to local governments, understanding these dynamics is key to formulating strategies that support good governance and improve citizens’ quality of life.
