Topic title
Topic description
Lachlan’s research investigates the link between immigration and firm productivity in Australia. To do so it uses longitudinal, large-scale administrative microdata that links workers with firms in the two decades prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, a period where Australia experienced decreasing productivity growth. It investigates the historical link between immigration and productivity and analyses the role of changes in immigration-related policies, with a particular interest in human capital policies.
