Andrew Ramsay
Director, Program Design and Delivery
Andrew joined the National Security College in October 2022 on secondment from the Department of Health and Aged Care (DHAC). He develops and facilitates executive and professional development programs in support of the College’s work to foster a skilled national network and community of practice among Australian security professionals.
From early 2020 Andrew led DHAC’s external budget strategy function coordinating the portfolio’s many and urgent budget priorities during the early years of the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to this, Andrew led the Policy and International section at the Commonwealth’s Office for Sport where, among other things, he worked closely with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade on Australia’s Sports Diplomacy soft power initiative.
Andrew has a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and History and a Master of Business Administration, both from the University of Adelaide. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has undertaken executive education in leadership and change management with Melbourne Business School.
