Fendhi Birowo is a Master of International and Development Economics (MIDEC) student at the Arndt-Corden Department of Economics, Crawford School of Public Policy, under full sponsorship from the Australia Awards Scholarship funded by Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). He holds Bachelor of Economics from University of Indonesia and previously was a scholar of Asian Development Bank (ADB) STAR Project Scholarship.
Before pursuing his master’s degree, he worked as a Senior Analyst at the Ministry of Finance, The Republic of Indonesia for 10+ years and has professional experience in the field of governance, risk management, and fiscal policy intervention. Driven by his academic desire and a purpose to contribute more to Indonesia, he does extensive research on the topic of human capital development to achieve sustainable and inclusive economic growth towards Indonesia Emas 2045 in his master’s degree. Moreover, he joins ANU Indonesia Project as a Project Assistant to further expand his professional and academic networks, foster Australia-Indonesia relationship, and contribute more to the betterment of his home country through research and development.
