  • Degree specialisation to prepare social policymakers for roles in government and non-government sectors
  • Advanced investigation and application of analytical skills
  • Understand the influences on and boundaries of social policymaking

If you want to be equipped to advise on social policymaking and implementation in government and NGO roles, this specialisation is for you. Contemporary social policymaking demands a participatory process. You will consider how to involve all stakeholders and manage competing influences on social policy development. Your exploration of social policy will include boundaries and challenges, such as the financing of welfare programs, inequality, and social justice.

Your learning will incorporate national and global perspectives and insightful case studies, giving you deep knowledge of key debates in the field of social policy when you graduate. With your highly developed analytical and research skills, you will be equipped to advise on social policy and manage program performance.
