The Graduate Certificate in Environmental Management Online is offered for domestic students to upskill or retrain in the Australian Government national priority area of environmental studies.
The program is supported by the Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs).

Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs)
CSPs for this program are limited, competitive and awarded on academic merit. There is no application process for a CSP. All students commencing in Semester 1 2021 will be ranked according to the GPA of the qualification used as the basis of admission.

Student unsuccessful in securing a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) can undertake the program as domestic tuition full fee (DTF) paying students.
Commonwealth funding for this initiative is only available for 2021. Any remaining courses that are commenced in 2022 would not be Commonwealth supported.

Upskill or retrain in environmental management
The Graduate Certificate in Environmental Management Online may be completed in a single semester full-time or part-time equivalent.
As this forms part of the Australian Government’s Higher Education Relief Package, this program is available for domestic students only.

- A Bachelor degree or international equivalent with a minimum GPA of 4/7.
The Graduate Certificate in Environmental Management Online requires the completion of 24 units selected from a range of key courses to support upskilling and retraining in this Australian Government national priority area.

Many of our Crawford School graduates have taken up senior policy roles with local, state, and federal government. Others have gone on to influential positions with global development institutions, environmental agencies, non-government organisations, and social enterprises.
Others still have elected to specialise in the private sector, where they are guiding sustainability strategies within large-scale mining and agriculture companies.

Postgraduate Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP)
CSP is one of the Commonwealth help schemes and is available for domestic students. With a CSP, you will save a significant amount of money on the tuition fee. The Postgraduate CSPs are limited and highly competitive. To be eligible:
• You must be a domestic student ie Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or holder of a humanitarian visa.
• You must be a continuing or commencing Graduate Coursework student*.
• Research based programs including the Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) are not eligible as the fees for these are already covered by the Research Training Scheme (RTS).
• Non-award study is not eligible.
*As a continuing student, you need to complete at least 24 units of study at ANU in the postgraduate programme you wish to be considered for a CSP.
