The Development Policy Centre conducted the first Australian aid transparency audit for AusAID in 2013.

It assessed the transparency of the Australian aid program at the project-level as measured by the availability of information about aid-funded projects on the AusAID website.

The audit was replicated, as closely as possible, in 2016 and 2019 on the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) website.

All reports make recommendations related to strengthening aid transparency.
