If your aim is to become an expert in foreign policy decision making, this degree specialisation is for you. With a specific focus on defence-related matters, you will develop in-demand expertise on the decision-making methods adopted by major powers in the Asia Pacific region, including Australia, and how they interact.

By drawing on theoretical frameworks, you will build niche skills in the analysis of changes in the strategic environment, and gain clarity on the role foreign and defence policies have in responding to these changes.

You will communicate meaningfully with external audiences about the challenges facing the Asia Pacific.
