Crawford will this week say farewell and best wishes to 110 of its graduating students.

The graduates include 78 Crawford graduate studies students, 17 National Security College students and 15 PhD Scholars. They will be presented with their awards at the graduation ceremony at Llewelyn Hall on Thursday.

Crawford School Director Professor Helen Sullivan said she is delighted for the graduates and has high hopes for them.

“Congratulations to all of the students that are graduating this week and preparing to take their skills into the world. It’s a very special day for them, and recognises the years of hard work and study that they have put in.

“Graduation day is a special day for everyone at Crawford School. The Crawford community is close, and there are few things that make us all happier than seeing our hardworking students graduate and then go and apply the talents they have developed at the school. Many of our graduates end up in very senior positions in policy and governments all around the world, and I’ve no doubt that among today’s graduates are tomorrow’s leaders,” she said.

She added that although the ceremony marks the end the students’ formal time with the University, it should not mark the end of their relationship with the school.

“I hope all our graduating students continue to stay in touch with Crawford through the alumni program and through maintaining the friendships and connections that they have developed in their time here.

“Everyone at Crawford wishes them all the very best for the future.”

To celebrate with the graduates, their families and friends Crawford will be hosting a graduation party after the official ceremony.

At the graduation party Crawford will award several performance-based prizes to a number of its most outstanding students.
